Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about therapy, coaching, and how we can work together.
-
My full‑rate therapy session fee is $250 per 55‑minute session.
-
My fee reflects the level of training, specialization, and care I bring to my work.
In addition to our 55‑minute sessions, my work includes:
Advanced training in trauma‑informed and somatic modalities (including IFS and CRM)
Ongoing consultation, continuing education, and supervision
Time spent preparing for sessions and integrating our work between sessions
Charging a sustainable rate allows me to provide thoughtful, attuned, and ethical care without overextending my capacity or rushing the therapeutic process.
-
I am an out‑of‑network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly.
Many clients choose to work with me using their out‑of‑network benefits, which may allow for partial reimbursement depending on your plan (for therapy only).
-
Many insurance panels place restrictions on how therapy is practiced, including limitations on session length, required diagnoses, and the types of interventions that can be reimbursed.
By remaining out of network, I’m able to:
Offer longer sessions when appropriate
Practice therapy that is paced, relational, and nervous‑system informed
Avoid assigning unnecessary diagnoses
Prioritize client privacy and autonomy
This structure allows the work to be more flexible, personalized, and aligned with trauma‑informed care.
-
All sessions are currently held virtually.
-
The consult is a pressure-free conversation where we talk about your goals, discuss therapy vs coaching, and determine whether we’re a good fit.
-
I specialize in working with:
Anxiety and chronic overthinking
People‑pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries
Perfectionism and high‑achieving burnout
Attachment wounds and relationship patterns
Complex trauma and developmental trauma
Nervous system dysregulation
Shame, self‑criticism, and worthiness struggles
My work is especially supportive for high‑functioning, self‑aware adults who feel stuck despite having tried traditional talk therapy.
-
My work is trauma‑informed, relational, and somatic.
I draw from modalities including:
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM)
Somatic and nervous system‑based therapy
Attachment‑focused therapy
Rather than focusing only on insight, we work bottom‑up—supporting the nervous system, emotional safety, and deeper healing.
-
Therapy is clinical mental health treatment and is available only to NY residents. Coaching is non-clinical guidance focused on clarity, alignment, and personal growth, available worldwide.
-
No. To maintain clear ethical and professional boundaries, I do not switch clients between coaching and therapy.
Working with the same person in both roles would create a dual relationship, which can blur boundaries and is not clinically or ethically appropriate.
If it becomes clear that a different level of support would be more helpful, I’m happy to talk it through and provide referrals to trusted therapists or coaches as appropriate.
